Stephen Levinsohn – Discourse Analysis – Linguistics & New Testament Greek Conference 2019

Dr. Levinsohn holds a PhD in Linguistic Science from the University of Reading, UK. He is a member of Wycliffe Bible Translators and, with his wife Nessie, worked as a linguist and translator with the Inga people of Colombia from 1968 to 1995. As a Senior Linguistic Consultant with SIL International, he has directed ‘Discourse for Translation’ workshops in over 20 countries for linguist-translators working with over 350 languages. During these workshops, participants analyze discourse features of local languages and compare or contrast them with corresponding features of Greek or Hebrew. Dr. Levinsohn is the author Textual Connections in Acts and Discourse Features of New Testament Greek.
