Dr. Pennington is Associate Professor of New Testament Interpretation and the Director of Research Doctoral Studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland). He has published a variety of articles, reviews, and Greek and Hebrew language tools, in addition to the books Heaven and Earth in the Gospel of Matthew, Reading the Gospels Wisely: A Narrative and Theological Introduction, and The Sermon on the Mount and Human Flourishing.
