Video Production
We’re here to help you with your Video Production needs. The main ways we serve you is through fulfilling video requests, capturing b-roll for your events, and helping you acquire existing video and audio content. To help us serve you, please read over each of the following sections to see how best to interact with us so that your projects can be completed in a timely manner and with excellence.
Video Requests
The primary way we serve you and the institution is by fulfilling video requests. We seek to complete every video request with a high degree of excellence, ensuring that your video fills the need it was designed to fill. As you consider partnering with us to create videos for your department, please keep the following guidelines in mind.
Project Timeline
Each video we produce is different, and thus operates on a unique timeline. Shorter, single camera videos may take as little as one or two weeks to complete while longer, multi location videos could take two to three months to complete. Some projects that require more travel coordination may take even longer. We always make an effort to be expedient in our video project completion, but, as we work to fulfill the needs of the institution, letting us know about your project as early as possibly helps us ensure timely delivery.
Resources
We are blessed to have several resources to fulfill the needs of Southeastern and Judson College. We have a studio that is equipped to handle quick talking head videos, and cameras and microphones that allow us to provide video support wherever needed on campus and beyond. With that in mind, videos produced from our studio are more likely to have quicker turn arounds on the day of filming, in scheduling, and in project completion than videos filmed outside the studio.
Video Review
Every outward facing video we produce requires the stamp of approval from our marketing and communications team to ensure brand cohesion. Depending on how you intend to use the videos you partner with us to create, this may add some time to your project’s completion.
Video Request Form
To begin the process of creating a video with us, you will need to fill out our video request form. This allows us to get basic information about the video you want to produce as well as better understand the need that you are trying to fill. A conversation with a member of our video production team does not negate the need to fill out this form, but is always a welcome precursor. For pre-booked, single-camera projects filmed in our studio that will be under three-minutes, please be sure to fill out a request at least two weeks in advance of your desired completion date. For every other standard video request, please fill out the request at least six weeks in advance. For large projects that require entirely new video content and travel to multiple off campus locations, please fill out the request at least ten weeks in advance. B-Roll Requests
To better support the evolving needs of modern media, we strive to collect video b-roll of significant events, moments, and day-to-day operations at Southeastern and Judson College. If you feel the need to document your event through video, we’re here to support you. Please read over the following guidelines as you seek to capture your event through video.
B-Roll Request Timeline and Planning
As you work with us to capture b-roll of your event, we require a full itemized schedule of your event, complete with locations for each significant moment during your event. To best ensure that your event is on our calendar, please submit a request form at least three weeks before your event takes place.
B-Roll Request Form
We strive to ensure that your events are captured to your specifications. To do this we need you understand exactly what level of b-roll capture you want. If you desire aerial footage as well as normal b-roll, we need you to notate that in your request. We also have a limited number of hours in a week that we can devote to b-roll capture, therefore it may not be possible for us to accommodate your request. The earlier we receive your request, the more likely we’ll be able to support you.
Video Asset Acquisition
If we’ve produced a video, audio recording, or captured b-roll for you in the past, and you need updated access to it, please fill out our video asset acquisition form. We ask that you give us one week from your event’s conclusion or request date to get your content to you. If you know that you’ll need the video from your event ahead of it taking place, feel free to fill it out beforehand.
