Nicholas Ellis – Linguistics and Exegesis – Linguistics & New Testament Greek Conference 2019

Dr. Ellis has degrees from Union University, Trinity Western University, and the University of Oxford, where he earned a D.Phil. in Theology (New Testament). He is the author of The Hermeneutics of Divine Testing: Cosmic Trials and Biblical Interpretation in the Epistle of James and Other Jewish Literature. He has also contributed chapters to several scholarly books, including The Greek Verb Revisited. Dr. Ellis has a background in both international mission work and the academy. He was raised in Brazil and has spent much of his life living abroad, working and teaching in South America, Western and Eastern Europe, and East Africa. His academic career has focused on biblical studies (primarily Jewish and Christian origins) and biblical languages. He currently serves as the CEO of EDiGlobal, an organization promoting biblical and theological education across the global Christian community. He also serves as a member of the teaching faculty at Grace School of Theology (Houston, TX).
